Web Development

Usability. I strive for accessibility, usability, and simplicity. I am conscientious of color schemes, logical navigation, valid code, ethical search engine optimization, load time/page size, and compatibility across browsers and screen sizes. I stay away from animation, unnecessary Flash, and "welcome" pages.

Standards. I've been developing for the web strictly with text applications (first with Notepad, then TextPad, now with EditPad) since 2000. I am well-versed in HTML/XHTML, CSS, and Regular Expressions. I have intermediate knowledge of PHP, ColdFusion, and JavaScript and have built interactive, dynamic sites. I segregate style from content whenever possible.

Customization. I pride myself on personalized service to fit the client; I will never limit my clients to, for instance, an arbitrary number of pages, or an arbitrary number of images per page. As businesses are unique, their sites shouldn't have to conform to a designer's template. My preferences lean toward non-profit and service-oriented web sites.

I have very competitive rates. Send me a message for further information or to set up an appointment.
